Carbeth on YouTube
Interested observers of the comings and goings at Carbeth over the years, will perhaps already discovered that the Carbeth Community has, slowly but surely, been venturing out into previously unknown teritories, such as our website here, our Facebook page, and now, YouTube.
We've received a small number of videos from hutters and friends, and we've now set up our very own YouTube channel. You can find it here:
Carbeth Hutters YouTube Channel
As a taster, you can click on the video on the right hand side for a cracking video, made by Mr. Robert Freer, which will whisk you back to a bygone age. A big thanks too to Irene Brown who helped in getting the video to us....enjoy.

This picture above, is of a group of children, evacuated to the relative safety of Carbeth in around 1941. The huts to the north-west of Glasgow were taken over to provide permanent accommodation for evacuees when the Second World War broke out in 1939. You can read he source article for this pic here.
The rest of the pics on this page are taken from various sites across the web, and we thank them for their (presumed) authorization to use them here.
